My Passion (besides my kids)....

That's right....I'm in love with taking pictures. So much so that my cameras sleep in the bed with me. Haven't quite figured out why I keep them on my bed unless I'm awaiting some sort of night vision that I just MUST capture at a moments notice.

Here's a pic (taken with my very first dslr ever purchased, the Nikon D50 with a Quantaray 70-300 lens...it was very dusty & dirty out there, I wasn't going to bring out my best gear and risk it when I NEED those two for actual real photography work) from last weekend...my youngest son's baseball team had a tournament that began on Saturday and ended Sunday evening about 6:30pm. They won the whole shebang. Very proud of them considering they haven't really practiced much and the actual season hasn't started yet....that'll happen tomorrow.

Haven't finished edits on all of the pics yet, but loved this one (it's sooc). Yep, the ball made contact with him. Right in the keester. Poor kid actually got hit twice in during the tourney. A friend of his on an opposing team got hit dead smack in the face. The scream that child let out left my blood curdled. He has one heck of a shiner to show for it too. My son said he had to actually spend a day or two in the hospital. The pitcher had a mean fast ball...at 13yrs old no less. Glad he wasn't the one throwing the balls that hit my baby (I know, I know, he'd kill me for posting "my baby" on the net, but he is). I wasn't too pleased with the outcome of some of the pics. I didn't take my flash...frankly because I wasn't expecting to be at the ballfield ALL day long on Sunday. But, I'll take them to LR & PS CS4 & see what I can do to spice them up more. The ones from earlier that morning were great....it was when the darn sun decided to grace us with its presence that it went downhill (flash, d300s, and a kick-butt Nikon lens would have done the trick). I'll know for tomorrow. Games at our park, not nearly as dusty and dirty as the one we were at last weekend.
